Olloclip Unveils New Interchangeable Lens System for iPhone 7

Posted in Gadgets
With news of the iPhone 7’s camera and lens being larger, for most everyone this immediately came as good news – save fans of Olloclip, who unfortunately learned that their Olloclip for iPhone 6 wouldn’t be compatible with the 7. Fortunately, Olloclip has just announced that it has built a brand new lens-add-on system to accommodate both versions of the new iPhone 7. In addition, not only are the lens optics new with multi-element and coated glass, but the attachment system will also be working differently. The new interchangeable lens system has been dubbed “Connect,” where for the first time, the lens housing and the frame sliding onto the phone will be arriving in two seperate pieces. An interesting feature included with the new products is the capacity for the lens to attach and align with the iPhone 7’s camera lens, even if you’ve placed a protective screen over your phone. The “Macro Pro Lens” set will feature a triad of macro lenses, giving you 7x, 14x and 21x optical zoom. The “Core Lens Set” on the other hand includes fish-eye, super-wide 120-degree view lenses and a 15x macro for super close ups. Finally, the “Active Lens Set” will give you a ultra-wide angle lens for a 155-degree field of view and a 2x optical zoom. The Macro Pro Lens, Core Lens Set and Active Lens Set will retail at $79.99 USD, $99.99 USD and $119.99 USD, respectively. All of the lenses are now available for pre-order, and Olloclip expects them to ship early November.
